This Nu Mail letterplate is part of our Timber Series Door Hardware range. The letterplate is the perfect combination of security and functionality. The secure through fixing ensures the letterplate can only be removed from the inside of the house, preventing burglars gaining access to the lock through the letterplate. The Nu Mail is 12" with a 10" aperture to meet Royal Mail standards and the anti-snap flap opens to 180 degrees and with a fully sprung return ensures ease of operation and no broken flaps, even with heavy newspapers. Everything needed for installation is included and the flexible fitting options allow the Nu Mail to be through fixed or face fixed according to preference. The letterplate is fully weather sealed to prevent any draft or rain water coming through and has an outstanding acoustic insulation, which makes it perfect for flat or houses near busy roads.
The Nu Mail fits a range of door thicknesses with Midrail and Panel options and is suitable for Timber, Composite and PVCu doors. Alongside stunning looks, our letterplates have been tested to the latest technical standards and meet the requirements of BS EN 13724:2002 to give clear access for A4 mailings. All finishes meet the requirements of BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 5 (480 hours) for Corrosion Resistance to provide the most robust finish for your hardware; and to ensure smooth and consistent performance over time the flap is endurance tested in our test house to excess of 30,000 cycles.
This Midrail version includes 2xM5x50mm machine screws, 2xM5x70mm machine screws and 2 screw guides.

For continued protection of the quality finish and appearance of your window and door furniture, we advise routine cleaning of all furniture purchased from SDH.
We recommend that you clean your furniture with a lemon-based mild soap solution and dry with a soft cloth once a month or every 2 weeks in coastal locations to avoid corrosion and ensure the longevity of your hardware.
It is advised that moving parts should be lightly lubricated at least twice a year. This procedure is particularly essential if products are used within a 25-mile radius of coastal areas or close proximity to building sites or large industrial areas, where more frequent cleaning may be required to prevent the accumulation of corrosive contaminants.

How quickly will my order arrive?
Our aim is to dispatch all orders placed before 12 noon on the same day.* Any orders placed after that time will be dispatched on the next available working day.
We will send you a notification email when your order has been dispatched. The time your order takes to arrive will depend on the delivery option you choose.
While we always try our best to dispatch every order following the above guidelines, during extremely busy periods dispatch times may increase by up to one day. In addition we will inform you at checkout if delivery may take a little longer due to high demand.

How can I track the status of my order?
You will receive an email to confirm we have received your order and that your payment has been accepted. You will also receive an email when your order has been dispatched.
What days will my order be delivered on?
Our couriers deliver between 07.00 and 18.00 Monday to Friday.
Will I need to sign for my order?
Depending on the size of your parcel and the courier we use, there may be a requirement to sign for your delivery.
Special delivery instructions
If you have any special instructions for delivery, such as leaving your parcel with a neighbour, please include them in the ‘special instructions’ section at the checkout. Please note that our couriers will not respond to notes left on doors for security reasons.

If we cannot deliver your order within the specified time period we will make every attempt to contact you and provide an expected delivery time. If this delivery time is not suitable, you can cancel your order and we will provide a full refund.
Collect in person
If you have selected collection for the delivery method, we will let you know when your order is ready to collect.
What do I do if my order arrives damaged?
If any item you receive from us arrives damaged, please contact us within 5 working days on 01752 651330 or by email at sales@sdhardware.co.uk. We will then advise you on the best course of action. In most cases we will ask you to return the item to us for an exchange or refund.
Unfortunately we cannot refund your postage costs when you return an item to us, unless it is faulty or damaged.
Please do not return a damaged order to us without contacting us first.
All orders are thoroughly checked before leaving our premises. On receipt of your order we request that you check the items as soon as possible. If you are unhappy with your order for any reason, please contact us on 01752 651330 or sales@sdharware.co.uk. Please have your order number to hand when you contact us as it will allow us to find your order quickly.
If you are unsatisfied with your order in any way, please return it to us within 14 days of delivery for a refund or exchange. The item must be unused, be in its original packaging and be suitable for re-sale. Items bought in the sale are non-returnable and non-refundable. Postage costs for returning items to us cannot be refunded, unless the item is faulty or damaged. We may at our sole discretion agree to take back the Returned Goods, provided that you arrange for such Returned Goods to be delivered to our premises as detailed at clause 6(a) and at your cost, and provided further that you pay for all costs and charges and fees incurred by us in re-stocking the Returned Goods.

Once your item has been returned, we will inspect it and take the necessary action as soon as possible.
Faulty, Damaged & Missing Goods
If any item you receive from us arrives damaged or you are missing an item, please contact us within 5 working days on 01752 651330 or by email sales@sdhardware.co.uk. We will then advise you on the best course of action.
In most cases we will ask you to return the item to us for an exchange or refund. Unfortunately we cannot refund your postage costs when you return an item to us unless the item is faulty.
Please check your order before you sign for it from the courier. If the item is faulty or damaged in any way, please do not sign for it and the courier will return the item to us. We will then send a replacement item out as soon as possible.
